WENDY HAMMERS (MIRIAM)
For 40 years, I had the privilege of working as an actor on stage, screen, and television. I played a rattled flight attendant with Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm; I was featured on Oprah as a comic. I toured the country as a stand up for three decades.
As an actress, I’ve played nuns, nudists, psychics, therapists, and borsht belt comediennes. Theatre credits include: Old Jews Telling Jokes (Bunny, National Tour); When We Were Young and Unafraid (Agnes); Grey Nomad (Val, Skylight Theatre).
Then, when I turned 54, I was handed the most challenging part of my life – the role of a pancreatic cancer patient. Though it all, I have had my family of friends to carry me through. Tonight’s performance is dedicated to them.
